New scholarship in recognition of the Late Gill Rundells’ contribution to Heywood Rural Health

The Board of Management of Heywood Rural Health has established a Nursing/Personal Care Worker education scholarship in recognition of the Late Gill Rundells’ contribution to Heywood Rural Health .Gill contributed greatly as a past Life Governor, Board Member, Matron/Staff Member, Hospital Ladies Auxiliary member and in her final years a resident of the hostel and nursing home.

The scholarship is for $1,000 and is awarded at the sole discretion of the Heywood Rural Health  Board of Management.  

The scholarship is open to Registered Nurses , Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers who have permanent employment at Heywood Rural Health.

The scholarship is offered annually to one employee who is pursuing further studies and qualifications relevant to their position at Heywood Rural Health.

The scholarship is awarded to the assist the successful applicant with the financial costs of studying/training.

Glen Toppin is the successful applicant for 2012. Glen is an enrolled nurse who is pursuing education to enable him to become medication endorsed.
