Michael Noske elected as President of Portland District Health

Portland District Health’s Board of Management has re-elected Mr Michael Noske as President and Chairman for a further 12 months following annual elections held last Thursday evening.

Mr Noske is serving his third term as a Board member and in 2011 was elected as Chairman and President. He is also a member of the Finance Committee and a director of Active Health Portland Ltd.

He works at Keppel Prince Engineering as a Project Manager and holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Mr Noske said he was delighted and honoured to be re-elected by his fellow board members and was looking forward to the challenge of building upon the past 12 months and working with the incoming chief executive Christine Giles.

“We have several exciting projects in the pipeline including the proposed helipad for the new emergency helicopter, working with Friends of Sea View House and ensuring the work of the newly commissioned GP Super Clinic, Active Health Portland fulfills its potential in meeting the health needs of our community” he said.

Mr Noske said “It has been my privilege to have served as President of Portland District Health over the past 12 months and I take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge my fellow board members for their support and assistance during the year.  We look forward to 2013 with excitement and optimism.”

He will be supported by Mr Andy Govanstone as Senior Vice President and Mr Ray Gilby as Junior Vice President
