Three Recipients Awarded the Bert Wilmot Travelling Scholarship At AGM

PDH would like to congratulate the three deserving recipients of the Bert Wilmot Scholarship for 2017

Sonia Shelton- Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Officer (ATSI) will attend the 2017 'Closing the Gap' Conference in Cairns between 27-29 November 2017.

Sonia submitted a paper which has been accepted for the 'Closing the Gap' Conference and has been selected as a key note speaker at the event. This plays a very important role within the 'Ka-ree-ta Ngoot-yoong Wat-nan-da' Grow Healthy Together Indigenous Advisory committee which is the main theme of Sonia' paper.

Wendy Buckland-Clinical Midwife Consultant will attend the Australian College of Midwives 21st National Conference in Nov 2018.

With the development of the Midwifery unit at PDH this will be beneficial to Wendy as the team leader and will bring back a wealth of knowledge to the organisation and her colleagues.

Michelle McIntosh-Occupational Therapist will attend the Australian Hand Therapy Assoc. Advanced Trauma Course in Townsville between 6-8 August 2018.

This will assist to further develop Michelle’s skills and expertise in hand therapy and will provide networking opportunities and establishing contacts. This will be beneficial to PDH as an organisation to grow these services.
