Today is WORLD HAND HYGIENE DAY and this year’s theme focuses on the prevention of health care-associated sepsis through hand hygiene and infection prevention and control (IPC) action. Sepsis is estimated to affect more than 30 million patients a year.
Every one of us working in a hospital, clinic, aged care facility and any other health services-related facility can help prevent sepsis.
